History of Tan Dinh Church
The history of the church is divided into 5 periods:
Formation period: From 1860 to 1874.
The period of consolidation and construction: From 1874 to
1926.
Adult stage: From 1926 to 1945.
Development period: From 1945 to 1974.
The period from 1974 to the present.
It is one of the earliest constructions in Saigon, started
in 1870 and inaugurated on December 16, 1876.
In 1986, the church was built with two more towers and two
rows of three with surrounding walls.
In 1926, the church was expanded and built a bell tower next
to Hai Ba Trung highway 52.6m high.
In December 1976, the 100th anniversary of the construction
of the church, the church was repainted, the sanctuary was built higher, and
re-coated with a green grinding stone. With its towering bell tower, characteristic
